Happy Independence Day to the BC3 family!
I was happy to have some rest and relaxation with family. It has already been a busy summer with little downtime.
Last week, I joined our executive team on a road trip to Harrisburg Area Community College and Northampton County Community College.
At HACC, we met with the executive team to fund out more about its success in delivering quality education in several different counties. The visit was successful; one that will help us as we forge ahead as a regional institution of higher education.
At Northampton, we discussed student housing. Northampton is the only community college in the Commonwealth to offer housing options to its students. In doing so, it has brought in many international students. Student activities, athletics, and campus morale has improved.
Student housing is a key part of our Campus Master Plan as well as our Strategic Plan. In addition to the recent trip, we have participated in webinars and met with a variety of people on the subject over the last six months.
Whether it is offering quality, accessible, and affordable education at various locations or looking into student housing, I strongly believe we continue to better ourselves and stay on the cutting edge. Stay tuned from more information in the coming months.
