(Butler, PA) A community health center will again offer free COVID-19 tests this winter and spring at a drive-up, outdoor location on Butler County Community College’s main campus in Butler Township.
Primary Health Network, Sharon, will administer the PCR nasal-swab tests on designated dates through May in BC3’s Parking Lot 5. Results of tests could take one to three business days.
BC3 is again serving as Primary Health Network’s testing location in Butler County. Primary Health Network was available to administer free COVID-19 tests on BC3’s main campus on 15 dates last fall.
Those seeking a COVID-19 test from Primary Health Network are required to be evaluated through a telehealth appointment with one of the community health center’s providers. Those who meet criteria for a COVID-19 test will be scheduled for an appointment.
For those who will be tested, please visit bc3.edu/covid for the latest information about BC3’s health and safety plan.
The only cost to the patient is for the initial telehealth evaluation, according to Primary Health Network. The community health center accepts all patients, regardless of insurance status or ability to pay. It participates in most managed-care plans, processes most insurances and offers a sliding fee scale to eligible patients.
For more information or to schedule an appointment, call 724-699-9211, Option 1, or visit primary-health.net.
A Primary Health Network mobile unit will be on BC3’s main campus for the tests from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Jan. 28, Feb. 11 and Feb. 25, March 14 and March 25, April 8 and April 22, and May 13 and May 26.
