Fall is here, the Pirates are back in the playoffs, and the semester is off to a great start!
As I head to join my presidential colleagues at a statewide meeting in Harrisburg, I am excited to share lots of good news about BC3.
Our Pioneer Proud campaign is doing incredibly well with an amazing 73 percent of College faculty and staff contributing – and still counting!
The renovation for the new Heaton Family Learning Commons (a 21st century library) is picking up momentum as staff continues to work with architects. A late spring/early summer 2015 target date for completion of the project is projected.
A new outdoor classroom is progressing very well for our Children’s Creative Learning Center. Take a peek as you trot along out beautiful Shaffer Walking Trail. Thanks to Alcoa for contributing funds to make this state-of-the-art outdoor area possible. A ribbon cutting is still in the works.
The 50th anniversary celebration of the chartering of BC3 has commenced with lots of great events and activities.
And what I like best of all is seeing our terrific students on all of our BC3 campus locations. Many are doing so debt free and taking advantage of opportunities at “The Smart Place to Start.”
So, if you see me walking around with a big smile, you now know why. Happy Autumn!
