(Butler, PA) A community health center will again offer free COVID-19 tests this fall and winter at a drive-up, outdoor location on Butler County Community College’s main campus in Butler Township.
Primary Health Network, Sharon, will administer PCR nasal-swab tests from its mobile unit on designated dates in BC3’s Parking Lot 5. Results of tests could take one to three business days.
BC3 is again serving as Primary Health Network’s testing location in Butler County. Primary Health Network has been available to administer free COVID-19 tests on BC3’s main campus on designated dates since fall 2021.
Those seeking a COVID-19 test from Primary Health Network are required to be evaluated through a telehealth appointment with one of the community health center’s providers. Those who meet criteria for a COVID-19 test will be scheduled for an appointment.
For those who will be tested, please visit bc3.edu/covid for the latest information about BC3’s health and safety guidance.
The only cost to the patient is for the initial telehealth evaluation, according to Primary Health Network. The community health center accepts all patients, regardless of insurance status or ability to pay. It participates in most managed-care plans, processes most insurances and offers a sliding fee scale to eligible patients.
