You did it again.
You planned and you carried out yet another magnificent outdoor graduation ceremony for hundreds of visitors to our Butler County Community College.
Our 54th commencement May 18 was inspiring for so many reasons.
Here are my top ten:
10.
Our fist-bumps, handshakes and hugs, which expressed our feeling so Pioneer Proud.
9.
Our students’ creative mortarboards, which illustrated their excitement.
8.
Our student-veterans, who chose to attend, and who graduated from, our seven-time Military Friendly School. Your BC3 family thanks you for your service.
7.
Our Oak Grove, whose stately trees were encircled with blue and white tulle, whose meandering paths were flanked with blue and white balloons.
6.
Our warm smiles, which offset the cool and rainy weather.
5.
Our deans, whose leadership guided graduates toward this milestone.
4.
Our speakers, distinguished alumnus John Reddick and students Ashley Zawrotuk and Keily Tinoco, whose wisdom connected perseverance to success.
3.
Our faculty, whose expertise continues to bring graduates to this stage in their lives, and in our Oak Grove.
2.
Our graduates, who reached this stage in our Oak Grove, or in our Succop Theater or at BC3 @ Brockway.
And my No. 1 reason why our 54th commencement on May 18 was so inspiring:
1.
Our nearly five dozen commencement staff members, who planned and carried out yet another magnificent outdoor graduation ceremony.
Fist-bumps, handshakes and hugs. Feeling so Pioneer Proud.
