On Cloud 9

September 20, 2023

So many times I have said “The sun always shines at BC3.”

But today, a welcomed cloud stretches over the 100-plus miles between our six locations.

It’s Cloud 9.

And we’re flying high on it.

BestColleges.com’s ranking of BC3 as the top accredited community college in Pennsylvania in 2023 represents the ninth time in nine years we have been selected as No. 1 in the state.

We were also picked No. 1 for 2023 and for 2022 by Niche; in 2022, 2020 and in 2017 by BestColleges.com; and in 2019, 2017 and 2015 by Schools.com.

As BC3’s president, I am delighted to be on Cloud 9.

So too is Collin Jacobson.

“When I apply to the jobs I want, BC3 will be on my resume,” the BC3 @ Brockway business management student said. “I can be proud that I went to the nine-time No. 1-ranked community college.”

More than 100 miles away, Elizabeth Tracy is floating on Cloud 9 too.

“It is important to me because I know I am at a school that actually cares about their students and puts forth so much effort into helping them to succeed,” the BC3 @ Cranberry health care science student said.

In between, students from our main campus in Butler Township; BC3 @ Armstrong in Ford City; BC3 @ LindenPointe in Hermitage and BC3 @ Lawrence Crossing in New Castle are also enjoying the reign on Cloud 9.

“BC3 has been on this nine-time winning streak,” said Terence Rice, an accounting student at BC3 @ Lawrence Crossing. “It’s impressive. It really is.”

It really is always sunny at BC3.

Especially from atop Cloud 9.
