With the fall-like chill in the air and football season thankfully here, the Fall 2017 semester is off to a great start. As the community’s college, we appreciate and understand the value of athletics in our service area high schools. To that end, we are promoting our affordable, accessible and quality education in high school football programs; on local sports talk radio shows (WBUT’s Saturday Morning Sports Journal); and by sponsoring Sportsfever’s Channel 22 broadcast of the Mars-Hampton High School Football game on August 25.
With the excitement of a new academic year and athletic seasons (including our very own championship volleyball and golf teams), our hearts certainly go out to fellow-Americans in the Houston area. The American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) has issued the following statement as well as a GoFundMe page.
