Just back from the American Association of Community College’s Presidents Academy: Summer Institute held in Baltimore.
My six days in Baltimore (tough for a Steeler fan) were packed with lots of good information. Topics ranged from the future of higher education to fostering innovation and even a trip to the Discovery Channel!
The best part of all was meeting up with friends like Dr. Kevin Drumm, President of Broome Community College in New York and Dr. Charlene Cole-Newkirk, President of Community College of Allegheny’s South Campus. I also made some new friends like Dr. Terri Winfree, President of Prairie State College in Illinois; Dr. Jon Bauer, President of East Central College in Missouri; and Dr. Andy Bowne, President of Ivy Tech Community College – East Central in Indiana.
I come back to western Pennsylvania with new colleagues and lots of new ideas. Thanks, AACC for a wonderful experience!
